Unifi Phasing Out Copper Services and Migrating to Fibre

Please note that the copper network in your area will no longer be available starting 28 February 2025*. This change is part of a plan to upgrade to faster, more reliable fibre internet in line with MCMC’s directive.

After this date, we won’t be able to fix any problems with the copper network. To make sure your internet service isn’t interrupted, we highly recommend upgrading to Unifi Broadband, our fibre solution that offers better speed and reliability.

What does this mean for you?

New Registrations

We will be discontinuing our copper-based services, hence we are unable to accept any new registrations for Unifi Lite/Streamyx.

Existing Customers

Existing customers will be migrated to fibre-based Unifi services in phases, expected to be completed by March 2025.

Seamless Migration

We will reach out to you via WhatsApp and MyUnifi app to guide you through the migration process.

Upgrade Opportunities

Before the migration, you can choose to upgrade to a fibre-based Unifi package for better value and performance.

If you currently have an active Unifi Lite/Streamyx account, it's crucial to migrate to Unifi Broadband services latest by 28 February 2025. Failure to do so may result in the termination of your Unifi Lite/Streamyx service. Click here to refer to our ‘Terms and Conditions of Technology Migration Approach’.
Simply click the "MIGRATE NOW" button below or in WhatsApp message that you received from Unifi Care to register your interest. Our Care Crew will reach out to you to assist with your migration.
The migration to Unifi Broadband (fibre-based service) depends on the infrastructure readiness at your area.
  • For areas with existing fibre infrastructure: Most migration requests can be fulfilled within 14 business days.
  • For areas without existing fibre infrastructure: You will be notified of the expected readiness date for fibre services in your location
While most migrations can be completed within 14 business days, building the new fibre infrastructure may take longer, ranging from 30 to 180 business days. We'll keep you informed throughout the process.
