Alexander Armstrong in Sri Lanka

Actor and comedian Alexander Armstrong heads to Sri Lanka to learn more about the island that frequently tops Lonely Planet's list of countries to visit. Sri Lanka has a tumultuous past with civil wars, natural disasters and the economic crisis of 2022 that saw 700,000 people storm the President's home. As the country reopens to tourists, Alexander speeds across the Indian Ocean to learn more about the 'land of serendipity'. Among his many adventures across the island nation, he witnesses an exorcism ritual, tries his hand (and feet!) at the ancient martial art of Angampora, is given an oil bath thanks to an Ayurvedic doctor and attempts to balance while catching fish with Sri Lanka's iconic stilt fishermen.
