After the death of her Watcher and parents’ divorce, Buffy and her mother both move from LA to Sunnydale, California, for a fresh start. However, she meets her new Watcher, Rupert Giles, and learns there is no escaping her destiny. Reluctantly, Buffy steps back into her role as the Slayer with a new inner circle of friends, all ready to join the fight and drive in a stake or two if need be.
